As a person who
has created many beautiful cross stitch pieces over the years, I truly believe
cross stitch becomes one of the finest art forms in a home when properly framed
and presented. Cross stitch is truly an "heirloom" for
all to enjoy now and even generations from now.
It always
bothered me to think 10 - 20,000 others had the same pattern... so I used to
make my own patterns . Of course making an original pattern by hand is a
very time consuming undertaking to say the least. A lot of time and thought had
to go into getting the image correct, the color changes correct etc.
Although I always felt good with the completed work because I knew it was the
only one in the world like it... an original.
Through the
power of the computer, we have the ability to produce "Original Cross
Stitch Patterns" from a treasured photo, a child's finger paint, or even a
poem. The possibilities for an original cross stitch are endless.
There is nothing
like an old black and white or sepia photo of parents or grand parents done as a
cross stitch. When completed and framed it looks like a photo on the wall
... until it is examined more closely and the viewer realizes it has been done
in cross stitch! They can hardly believe there eyes!
We need the original
piece as a photograph ( nice crisp focus) or as a .jpg sent via email ( jpg
should be crisp and sharp). We need to know the stitch count you prefer to
work in, as well as the aprox. finished size of the image you desire.
From there we create a full cross stitch pattern for you to complete. It will be
a "One of a Kind". We will print a shopping list letting
you know the total number of stitches and how many inches of each color will be
required. On top of that you will receive a "key" for the
pattern as well as a complete set of convenient pattern pages. We will
also include a sheet showing you the approximate finished image size
should you wish to complete the piece in a different stitch count.

We will refund 1/2 of your purchase price
($15.00) when you have us frame your work to your specifications.
