FRIBERG'S CHRISTIAN PRINTS
FOLLOWING THE STAR
"There came wise men from the east." Long, long had the
"Magi" waited for a sign of the coming of the Great King.
Until at last in the heavens did the sign appear...a star of such
glory as had never been seen. As it moved it called them, and in faith
they followed, ever onward, to where they knew not. The wonder and
faith of that journey has been eloquently captured by the greatest
Biblical artist of our time.
PEACE BE STILL
1995 Release. One of Friberg's best-loved images, Peace be Still sold
out within months of its issue. It is an entirely fresh, new concept
of a well known Bible scene. While former paintings of this Biblical
event have featured the fury of the storm, Friberg went back to the
scripture itself and realized that while we might see a storm at sea
most any day, we cannot see any day a man stand up and command the sea
to be still. So that the peace was more dramatic than the storm.
THE RISEN LORD
1993 Release. In this dramatic painting, Friberg captures the awesome
majesty of the moment that transformed the history of Western
civilization. This picture was the first release in the Gospel-in-Art
series. Here, as in all of Friberg's sacred subjects, one feels the
deep conviction of truth that inspired such a moving and dramatic
scene.
