Robert Bateman.... Millpond Press has just informed us that they have  six new pieces to introduce from the master of wildlife in the near future.  His current prints are selling quickly to collectors world wide. Batemans  recent release "The Return- Bald Eagle Pair" has almost doubled in price  since it sold out in November 2002.   Check out his next release he calls, "The Hour of the Egret" www.alexisarts.com/BatemanPrints.htm

Market Notes... Lot's of new ideas are coming from the framing gallery.    New matboard finishes to complement the ever changing décor of the times.      Look for the age old "Toile" fabric wrapped matboards. These can add  fresh new look to so many types of art.  Don't forget to check out the new
trendy   colors available in "silk  wrapped" , "denim  wrapped"and "suede"   matboards.

Daniel Smith.... has completed an impressive piece.  It is depicting an African Elephant called "Denizen of the Mist". So impressed by the  power painted into this piece, Millpond decided to issue it as a Giclee on Canvas with an image size of 40" x 50".  If  an African Theme Room  is in your design, this is truly a magnificent piece of  fine art to adorn  the main wall. More and more we are asked what can be done with memorabilia. Clients  are asking how they can display priceless items in a way as to preserve them for future generations. Your framing gallery has the answers.  Imagine a pair  Grandma's old eye glasses, a piece of pettipoint, her favorite old thimble and a needle and thread or maybe an old crochet hook all framed in a rich display shadow box hanging in your hallway. It can be absolutely  beautiful when good design is used.
